Middle School Audition & Crew Information

MS AUDITION INFORMATION 

Read in full, fill out & send in the MS Cast/Crew registration packet located here once you have been registered you will be added to the Davis LMS musical group(s).

• Please prepare one of the following options below. The audition material cuttings are here. Guide Vocals to practice with are here.
• Two songs from Frozen Jr.
• A song & a scene from Frozen Jr.
• A song & a dance combo from Frozen Jr.
• A scene & a dance combo from Frozen Jr.

CREW DOES NOT AUDITION. See the Crew page for more details.

If you want to be an ensemble member (who sings & dances) only you do not have to audition.

If you want to be an elite dancer- yes, you have to audition. 

CAN I DO SPORTS AND THE MUSICAL?

YES.*

THERE IS NO CONFLICT WITH WINTER SPORTS OR
FOR CREW DOING SPRING SPORTS.

There are several different schedules- small time commitment,
medium time commitment, & large time commitment
so everyone has a chance to “play” a Part.

Reminder:
Not every role is called to every weekday rehearsal.
Also, there is a quiet study hall room available at every weekday and Sunday
rehearsal for those wishing to complete homework during rehearsal when
not needed on stage.

WINTER IS COMING!

THE DAVIS MUSICAL HAS BEEN OFFICIALLY REVEALED.

Frozen JR. is sure to be the coolest musical yet. It will give you chills and all the feels.

For those of you who followed our musical clue bulletin board at the middle school here is a picture of the board along with the explanation of clues.

• The number 13 and ruler refers to Hans. Hans is the 13th in line to rule the throne of the Southern Isles. 
• The picture of Chip and Joanna Gaines refers to their Show Fixer Upper which is a song in our show.
• The animal under the rainbow arrow is a weasel referring to the Duke of Weselton. 
• Clue the Musical is a real musical but is used in this sense as musical clues. 
• Wicked, Hamilton, Zootopia, Tootsie, and Beauty and the Beast are linked to Frozen. How you ask?
• The original Elphaba in Wicked was Idina Menzel who voices Elsa.
• The original King George in Hamilton was Jonathan Groff who voices Kristoff.
• The Lefou in the movie version of Beauty and the Beast is Josh Gad who voices Olaf.
• The original Michael/Dorothy in Tootsie is Santino Fontana who voices Hans.
• Priscilla the Sloth in Zootopia is Kristen Bell who voices Anna.
• The H and O chemical structure & bonds shown represent ice and water.
