Frozen MS Cast Update and Information

We hope everyone enjoyed a most Happy Thanksgiving filled with family, great food, good fun, and some good old fashioned rest and relaxation! Safe travels to those still traveling home.

Thank you all for auditioning for what is certain to be a fabulous adventure of a show with this wonderful cast of middle school performers and crew members.

Thank you for your patience in releasing the cast list for Frozen Jr. We share in your excitement!

Thank you also to our audition panel members who have worked tirelessly throughout auditions and callbacks, and this week working to expedite a cast list. Our audition adjudication panel has finished reviewing the copious amount of notes from the three auditions and callbacks filled days, as well as each actor’s individual audition forms in which any scheduling conflicts and special skills were noted. We appreciate your patience in understanding the thoroughness and time that goes into creating the cast lists and the thoughtfulness with which the panel makes decisions to place everyone where they will shine best for the most wonderful experience and show; as well as respecting their Holiday and time spent with their families.

There will be an all cast read-sing through THIS Tuesday,December 3 from 3:45 to 5:45pm in the LS theatre. We wil discuss extra parts at that time as well and special opportunities that aren’t in the script but may be added to the show. Crew is also invited to join us for this rehearsal if crew members would like to attend.  If you noted on your schedule a previous commitment on 12/3, you are excused from rehearsal and we’ll catch you up.

The MS rehearsal schedule through March will be released before winter break. All December rehearsals have been posted.

LS Rehearsals begin this Wednesday with an all LS cast rehearsal from 3:20 to 4:30 in the theatre. MS cast and crew members please let us know if you would like to assist LS cast rehearsals as a mentor. You will receive International Thespian Society honor points for all work on stage, behind the scenes, and mentoring.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!!!

Frozen Jr. is a vibrant iconic movie and Broadway musical whose heart relies upon the strength of the ensemble to breathe life into the kingdom of Arendelle.

Every cast member is CONSTANTLY moving in and out of numbers.  This music has gorgeous harmonies to learn and solo lines for all,  HILARIOUS and HEARFELT scenes, the  HIGHEST Energy soft shoe and kick line dancing as well as LYRICAL dance , fight scenes; and quite possibly the MOST FUN and Fx filled show of any show we have ever produced. We need every voice, every actor, every dancer, and every performer! The townspeople, Oaken Family, Hidden Folk, Summer Chorus and Snow Chorus are the heart, soul, and backbone of the show and keep this musical moving literally and figuratively!

PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY:

You will definitely enjoy the incredible music, choreography, comedy, a great story—it has heart and soul, true love, villains, mystical powers and even more mystical people, an incredible story, hilarious events,  great characters, the incredible ensemble, illusions, and amazing dancing, with a wonderful message and just plain old-fashioned Disney fun that this show offers.

THERE ARE SUPPORTING, FEATURED ROLES, & UNDERSTUDIES THAT HAVE NOT BEEN CAST AS WE DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH INFORMATION TO DETERMINE THESE ROLES YET. Your work ethic, openness to taking direction, ability to "BE" these characters and show us through your movement and voice. THESE WILL BE CAST DURING REHEARSALS!

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING NOTES THOROUGHLY! THE CAST LIST LINK IS LOCATED AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST.

  • BE AWARE THAT ALL ACTORS HAVE MORE THAN ONE RESPONSIBILITY IN THE SHOWS!!!! The casts will be placed into Frozen, Jr. Shows over the next 8 weeks of rehearsal.
  • UNDERSTUDIES ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT and may be cast for certain roles during the first month of rehearsals.
  • Please remember that many solo acting, singing, and dancing roles will be cast during the first weeks of rehearsals. SOME roles, extra lines, featured solos, ensembles, and featured circus acts, dances, tumbling, and extra roles will be assigned during REHEARSALS—it really pays to be at rehearsals working hard and showing off your hard work and commitment!
  • Understudies must memorize lines and be at all rehearsals for the part they are “understudy”-ing! You may be called upon to go on for actors during dress rehearsals and for the performances...it has happened every year!!
  • Understudies will also be performing their roles at various community events in March.
  • We are going to be moving fast—so please treat rehearsal time seriously, and learn your music and lines as soon as possible.
  • You ALL are going to be busy when your part is called for rehearsal, the show moves fast—and will be so much fun! Study hall quiet rooms are available if you would like to do homework during rehearsals.
  • Please trust that you will learn more about your part at rehearsals and DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE IT!—We have cast it to allow everyone to have substantial stage time in which to shine. There is more that what meets the eye on the page of the script books!
  • The FIRST MS rehearsal is this TUESDAY from 3:45 to 5:45 for ALL MS CAST & CREW in the LS Theatre. If you have a basketball game or Bar/Bat Mitzvah tutoring this day, you are excused from the first read through.
  • Please note the cast list is listed alphabetically by role and is not listed by show time/day! Thank you!!
