Middle School Cast Scene by Scene Breakdown
Greetings MS Cast and Family!
Thank you all for your patience as we figure out our "extra" acting roles and ensemble duties relating to exactly who will be in what scenes and attempt to shore up our TBD roles and ensemble roles this week.
Since we have had only a couple of rehearsals before the break, we have not had much time all together to determine the remaining TBD parts and who is needed in which ensemble in which scene. Our first Sunday yesterday was critical to see how many actors, voices, and bodies we need in each summer chorus, townspeople, Oaken, and Hidden folk ensemble.
Since ALL actors appear in our scenes for this THURSDAY's 1/16/20 rehearsal, we finalize everyone's ensemble parts (when they are not their main part) and the TBD remaining solos/lines/roles that are outstanding. In order to accomplish this task, it is necessary to extend rehearsal on 1/16/20 to 6pm from 5:30 pm on this day. We understand that this is less than a week of notice, so if you have a prior commitment that requires you leave by 5:30 you are excused at that 5:30 originally scheduled dismissal time. For those who are absent or leave early on Thursday, we will place you in an ensemble and let you know Friday morning where you have been placed.
In the meantime, please look over the Middle School Cast Scene by Scene Breakdown. This chart tells you what characters are in what scenes, on what pages numbers, and in what songs. The numbers on the rehearsal schedule correspond to the song numbers: e.g. #18 In Summer is #18 in your script and on your rehearsal tracks. If your character appears in this number song/the pages of that scene you attend that rehearsal. We reviewed this last week and yesterday in rehearsals and I will be going over it again in detail this week.
